Food

This was a so-so experience. I ordered an appetizer and a dessert. The food was delicious. The Button Mushrooms, I ordered, were supper tasty; the cream sauce was the best part of it all. It came with lots of bread, which I felt was unnecessary, especially if it's meant to be served as an appetizer. Also, I felt the bread could've been fresher. The Strawberry dessert I ordered was a hearty healthy treat: minus the sugar of course. I didn't order any alcohol, though it's a pub/restaurant. I just wasn't in the mood. So, I can't contribute to the quality of the drinks.

Service

The service was okay. When I arrived, the female hostess (I'm assuming her position) shuffled through menus to find the cleanest menu which was still dirty in my opinion. However, the fact that she attempted felt nice. My waitress seemed sweet. She didn't mind replacing my glass when I noticed sanitary issues. I did feel a little put off though when I asked for sparkling water and she corrected me, calling it "soda water". Sparkling water is the traditional name of carbonated water. I understand that some call it "soda" or "seltzer" water but that's not what I'm used to. Nonetheless, it doesn't matter really; if a guest orders something and you understand, why make a deal of it? I felt that was a bit condescending.

Atmosphere

The setup is self-seating. The outdoor seating, which seems to be preferred by most of the restaurant's guests, could use some work. The ground is not leveled properly, which causes many of the tables to rock or be slanted.  The interior was very dark but felt very Irish (of course it would). The old wood bar and seating sets the vibe. However, I do feel that the tables of the booths could be updated.
